Campos developed a curiosity and passion for the ever-changing weather across the United States. She also had to learn a new language and a new culture. Campos had a passion for learning. Self-educating herself, she used movies and books to learn English quickly. She excelled in school, never failing to get nothing more than A's. Her parents never had the opportunity to finish high school, not because they didn't want to, but because of their circumstances.
